$230.00
Description: This is the first of six courses that introduces you to ancient Greek, with both classical and Koine treated, and it assumes no prior knowledge of Greek. We’ll be working with the popular textbook Athenaze (students may use either the English or Italian versions, as available). They will be supported in using either a classical or koine pronunciation, and have access to audio recordings, email and slack support, and weekly seminars conducted 95% in Greek. If you’re looking for a robust ab initio course in ancient Greek, aimed at communicative competencies, this is it.
This course will cover Athenaze chapters 1-6, as well as additional materials as possible.
Classes will be offered via Zoom. You’ll need decent internet, and preferably a headset or microphone and relatively quiet workspace. Students should also ensure they have acquired a copy of the textbook before the class begins.

Length: 10 weeks x 1hr
Cost: USD $230

Hello I am Interested in signing up. What is the likelihood that the class would be canceled if there are not enough participants. I have had an interest in learning Greek for a while 5+ years. Specifically Koine Greek for the New Testament and Early Christian texts. But I have a love for philosophy and literature so Aristotle, Plato, Homer, and Aeschylus interest me. I am a Catholic priest so I have had training in Latin, Italian, and Spanish.
