In this unit we’ll be reading a selection of Psalms as they appear in the Greek Septuagint. Our focus will be on those psalms significant in messianic and Christian interpretive traditions.
We’ll be reading through the Greek text throughout the term, while discussing it in a Q&A mode in Greek during the weekly seminars. Outside the weekly class, participants will be expected to read sections of the text themselves, with email support. Experience in spoken Greek is not necessarily required but students should be aware that the seminars will be conducted in spoken ancient Greek, at a level appropriate to the participants.
Classes will be offered via Zoom. You’ll need decent internet, and preferably a headset or microphone and relatively quiet workspace.
Time: Monday 7pm US Eastern Time, starting April 19th (2021). (The class time is fixed to 7pm, New York, regardless of other time changes)
Length: 10 weeks x 1hr
Cost: USD $220

Classes require a minimum number of participants to run. Classes may run with less participants, at my discretion. Any cancelled classes will be refunded in full.
