Description: This course is designed for those with some experience and ability in Greek, who are looking to develop the ability to write original prose compositions in Greek. Participants will be expected to be working on a longer form (a single piece or a series of shorter pieces) prose composition, and seminars will take the form of workshopping participants’ writing. We will also discuss and work with pre-existing ‘translation’ resources (e.g. Dickey’s An Introduction to the Composition and Analysis of Greek Prose) as time permits.
Participants should expect to spend 1-3hrs/week outside class working on their writing.
Classes will be offered via Zoom. You’ll need decent internet, and preferably a headset or microphone and relatively quiet workspace.
Time: Thursday 9pm US Eastern Time, starting January 28th (2021). (The class time is fixed to 9pm, New York, regardless of other time changes)
Length: 9 weeks x 1hr
