Outcomes

In this class we'll be reading and discussing the second half of Niels Klim's Iter Subterraneum (chapters 9-16), an 18th century satirical speculative-fiction piece. This is an intermediate reading and discussion class. Weekly seminars will be conducted 95% in Latin.

How the course works

Each week you'll meet live on Zoom for a 60-minute interactive class conducted primarily in Latin.

• Reading and discussing the second half of Niels Klim's Iter Subterraneum (chapters 9-16)
• Limited to 5 participants
• As much Latin as possible, as much English as necessary
• 2-3 hours a week independent study expected
• Access to recordings of all live sessions
• Access to student community on Discord
