Greek 227: Luke’s Gospel (w/ Fletcher)

In this unit we’ll be reading extensively in the gospel according to Luke and discussing it in Greek. We’ll attempt to cover the whole Gospel in this course but the pace can be adjusted if need be.
We’ll be reading through the Greek text throughout the term, while discussing it in a Q&A mode in Greek during the weekly seminars. Discussion will range from the textual to the literary and theological. Outside the weekly class, participants will be expected to read sections of the text themselves, with email support.
Experience in spoken Greek is not necessarily required but students should be aware that the seminars will be conducted in spoken ancient Greek, at a level appropriate to the participants.
Classes will be offered via Zoom. You’ll need decent internet, and preferably a headset or microphone and relatively quiet workspace.

Time: Sundays 7pm US Eastern Time, starting January 29th 2023

Length: 10 weeks x 1hr

Classes require a minimum number of participants to run. Classes may run with less participants, at my discretion. Any cancelled classes will be refunded in full.

Less than 10 days prior to the class, 75%
Within the first 2 weeks of class, 50%

After the first 2 weeks, a refund is not available.
