In this course we’ll use the direct-method text Familia Romana by Hans. Ørberg as a basis for a living-language approach to the language. Our aim is acquisition of Latin, not grammatical learning about Latin, though the latter can be supplied via supplemental materials.

This course commences with chapter 14 and expects you to have completed up to that point. Classes are conducted primarily through the medium of Latin.

Classes will be offered via Zoom. Classes will be offered via Zoom. You’ll need decent internet, and preferably a headset or microphone and relatively quiet workspace. Students should also ensure they have acquired a copy of the textbook before the class begins.

Time: 8pm US EDT starting Thursday 25th April (10am Australian EST, starting Friday 26th April)

Length: 10 weeks x 1hr sessions
