Description: This is the second of six courses that introduces you to ancient Greek, with both classical and Koine treated, and it assumes no prior knowledge of Greek. We’ll be working with the popular textbook Athenaze (students may use either the English or Italian versions, as available). They will be supported in using either a classical or koine pronunciation, and have access to audio recordings, email and slack support, and weekly seminars conducted 95% in Greek.

This course will cover Athenaze chapters 7-11.

Classes will be offered via Zoom. You’ll need decent internet, and preferably a headset or microphone and relatively quiet workspace. Students should also ensure they have acquired a copy of the textbook before the class begins.

Time: Tuesdays 7pm US Eastern time, starting Oct 10th 2023 (The class time is fixed to 7pm, New York, regardless of other time changes)

Length: 10 weeks x 1hr

Cost: USD $230

All classes will be recorded and available for participants to download.
Classes require a minimum number of participants to run. Classes may run with less participants, at my discretion. Any cancelled classes will be refunded in full.

Refund policy:

More than 10 days prior, 100%
Less than 10 days prior to the class, 75%
Within the first 2 weeks of class, 50%
After the first 2 weeks, a refund is not available.

  1. Thanks for your content! I’ve loved reading your thoughts especially on online education, and your substack.

    I’ve taken one class with ALI and covered Athenaze 1-6. I’d eventually love reading fluency for the NT. My husband will be studying at Moore next year and given your background, I wonder if you could give some advice. Given the time and cost limitations, would it be worth trying to do some of your Greek courses before then? I’m not sure he has the same goals, beyond passing his subjects for their 4 year undergrad program. What level of Greek with you would be sufficient to match a theology student? Would it be better to just pursue CI methods after graduating?
