Description: This course is designed for those with some experience and ability in Latin, who are looking to develop the ability to write original prose compositions in Latin. Participants will work on a number of creative-writing type tasks, designed to exercise their ability to write in Latin. We will explore a variety of genres, as well as consider how to develop an active use of certain trickier parts of Latin grammar. Class time will also be spent on workshopping participants’ writing pieces.
Participants should expect to spend 2-4hrs/week outside class working on their writing.
Classes will be offered via Zoom. You’ll need decent internet, and preferably a headset or microphone and relatively quiet workspace.
Time: Sundays 10pm US Eastern time, starting Oct 8th 2023 (The class time is fixed to 10pm, New York, regardless of other time changes)
Length: 10 weeks x 1hr
